The Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid course is a comprehensive one-day program designed to equip individuals with essential skills to respond effectively to emergencies at home or in the workplace. This course covers a wide range of topics, including airway emergencies, breathing and circulation emergencies, wound care, and opioid poisoning awareness. Participants will also learn how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children, and infants, and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED). The program includes both in-class instruction and practical skills demonstrations, requiring 100% attendance and participation. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a 3-year certification in Emergency First Aid & CPR C/AED, which meets the requirements of provincial and territorial worker safety and insurance boards for Basic level.
