The Lifesaving Society’s National Lifeguard Pool Recertification course is designed for individuals whose National Lifeguard Pool certification is current or has recently expired, and who wish to renew their status. This course provides an opportunity to review essential lifeguarding skills and knowledge, as well as to learn about any updates to procedures and standards. The recertification exam focuses on key competencies, including object recovery, sprint challenges, and other critical lifeguarding tasks. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in these areas to successfully renew their certification. It is highly recommended that participants have current First Aid certification and practice their skills, as well as review their knowledge, prior to attending the course. The program includes both classroom and water activities, requiring 100% attendance and participation. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a renewed National Lifeguard Pool certification, valid for two years.
